Carpet film down the traffic routes, and blankets and covers on the furniture. A muddy February move shouldn't leave marks on a brand-new hall carpet, and it won't. That's standard on every job, not an upsell.

Usually, yes. Tuesday-to-Thursday moves outside school holidays are typically 15–25% cheaper than the last Friday of the month, the busiest day for UK completions. If your date is flexible, tell us at the survey stage and we'll offer the cheapest available slot.

We recommend emptying drawers where possible before moving day. Full drawers add significant weight and increase the risk of damage to heavy furniture. For smaller chests or bedside tables, lighter items like clothing, towels or bedding can usually be left in place if they are not overstuffed. Always remove heavy objects, liquids and fragile or valuable items and pack them separately in boxes.
