Yes — for safety and insurance reasons, Gentlevan cannot store hazardous or prohibited items such as chemicals, explosives, gas bottles, fuel, and flammable liquids.

We also advise against storing perishable items (food, plants, organic materials) and we recommend keeping valuables (cash, jewellery, passports, important documents) with you rather than placing them into storage.

Storage insurance is usually arranged separately and is strongly recommended for peace of mind, especially for higher-value items.

We can explain the cover options available, and it’s also worth checking your home insurance policy as some policies include limited cover during removals and short-term storage.

Yes. If your needs change, you can usually increase or reduce the number of containers used (subject to availability).
